I don’t want you to know where I am

Geo-tagging, location-based services or just plain ‘telling everyone where I am’; whatever you call it, ‘location’ got bigger last week with the launch of Facebook Places.
In common with social networking sites like FourSquare, Facebook Places allows users to share their location with their friends by ‘checking in’ to that place.
It’s only had a limited release in the US so far but, given that it comes from the world’s largest social networking website, it’s set to offer location-based services to the mainstream. Read the rest of this entry »

Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog. My other blog I should say.
Unlike the Digital Pharma blog I write for InPharm and that appears in an edited form in print in Pharmafocus this is something else.
It will certainly be a home base, as Chris Brogan would put it, but what else exactly is something I plan to work out as I go along.
It won’t duplicate my pharmaceutical and healthcare writing, which continues to be found on InPharm.com, and instead will probably focus on wider online, social media and information trends.
