Mapping Twitter in the UK

This style of visualisation is nothing new, and truth be told I’m not even sure what, if any, lessons can be drawn from it.

Maybe it’s just that in cities, where there are more people, there are more Twitter users.

Nevertheless, there’s still something intrinsically appealing about it.

It was featured by Twitter earlier this month to celebrate their two-year anniversary of setting up a UK office – a milestone that once again offered the company a chance to showcase some of its high profile users (see also Wimbledon, the Royal Baby, the Ashes, Glastonbury and … you get the message).
